DYMO introduces new RhinoPRO Industrial TapesEurope, 28/11/2004
In its goal to create the right products for the right applications DYMO
industrial has extended his material range with two new products, a heat
shrink tube and a non-adhesive tag. Both tapes are also the first to be
called RhinoPRO industrial tapes. With the change of the productline
name DYMO Industrial wants to make a very clear statement and
distinction towards the market that these products are really developed
for the industrial market and therefore also fulfill those needs. They
all feature permanent adhesives and are resistant to oils, chemicals and
dirt. As a result these labels stick like nothing you’ve seen before. A
clear distinction between other solutions is needed to draw the
attention to the customers so they choose the right product that meets
their needs. The Rhino image provides this distinction and reveals power
and toughness. These labels can withstand the most harsh environments.
A heat shrink tube and non-adhesive tag are the new products to be
introduced.
If you’re looking for a non-adhesive yet permanent solution to identify
and protect your wire and cables at the same time, DYMO’s polyolefin
heat shrink tube, also called sleeve, provide clean and permanent
marking for a wide range of cable diameters. This material shrinks very
fast after heat is applied. This way the sleeves are firmly stuck onto
the wire. The material is flame-retardant so it will not increase the
flames in case of a fire. The sleeve has also an excellent
solvent/chemical resistancy. The continuous format allows the installer
to print different lengths of sleeves using the same cassette, which
gives him much more flexibility on the spot, saving him quite some
valuable time.
The non-adhesive tag or insert is a very durable and professional
solution for customers who don’t want sticky labels. It has a nice
printability and is, if needed, very easy to replace. The continuous
format gives the installer a lot of flexibility on the spot as he can
cut the insert to the size that fits a panel or labelholder without
wasting any material saving him valuable time and money.
Within the industrial range following materials are also available; a
flexible nylon material for wire and cable marking; a permanent
polyester designed for extremely rough surfaces where increased adhesion
and resistance to dirt, oils and solvents is required, coloured vinyl
combines flexibility, a strong adhesive and high solvent resistance
suited for many type of applications where colour is requested and a
clear polyester tape where the sharp printed characters integrate very
nicely with the background of the application
