Phil DamianoPresident, DYMO
Phil Damiano is President of DYMO and leads the Company in its mission
to become the recognized leader in innovative solutions that help people
organize their world. Mr. Damiano is responsible for worldwide
operations and management of DYMO. He joined DYMO through Esselte’s
acquisition of CoStar Corporation in 1998 and stayed on as President
following Newell Rubbermaid’s acquisition of DYMO from Esselte in 2005.
Upon graduation from Boston College in 1978, Mr. Damiano became a
consultant with Index System based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He was
responsible for designing and developing securities accounting systems
for large financial institutions.
In 1980, he moved to New York City to become Vice President of
Enterprise Technology Corporation. In 1981, Mr. Damiano co-founded
Kensington Microware, a leading global manufacturer of computer
accessories. Kensington was sold to ACCO World Corporation in April
1986, where he remained until 1989.
In 1989 he co-founded CoStar with his long time business partner Andrew
Newmark, who currently serves as Senior Vice President – Business
Development of DYMO. In 2000, Mr. Damiano was promoted to President of
DYMO, responsible for the global division, and in July 2002 was elected
to serve on the Esselte Leadership Team.
Mr. Damiano received a B.S. in Computer Sciences from Boston College in
1978.
