DYMO Launches New LabelWriter Printers; Receives US Postal Service Approval To Print PC Postage.GREENWICH, CT, 07/08/1999
DYMO, the worlds leading manufacturer of PC label printers, today announced
three new models of its popular LabelWriter printer line, two of which
print electronic postage thus eliminating stamps and postal meters.
The new modelsEL40, EL60 and Turbo contain all new hardware and software,
making it easier than ever to print one-at-a-time labels from a PC.
The EL60 and Turbo models are also approved by the U.S. Postal Service to
print PC Postage, a recently launched initiative that allows computer
users to print electronic postage stamps direct from their Windows based
PCs. DYMO has entered into marketing and distribution partnerships with
Stamps.com and E-Stamp, the first two companies approved by the U.S.
Postal Service to market PC Postage services.
We believe that LabelWriter printers will play a crucial role in the success
of PC Postage, said Andrew Newmark of DYMO. While printing postage
directly from a PC is a tremendous convenience, printing envelopes and
labels with a laser or inkjet printer is quite cumbersome. By contrast,
the DYMO LabelWriter prints electronic postage labels quickly and
flawlessly, right at your desk.

integrates directly into the main toolbars of Microsoft Word and
Outlook, GoldMine and Symantecs ACT! enabling users to print labels
from these popular programs with just a couple of mouse clicks.
