David Block
VP - PC Products & Chief Technology Officer, DYMO
 
As Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of PC Products, David Block is responsible for guiding much of DYMO's future technological directions while leading the global development of DYMO's LabelWriter and DiscPainter product lines, as well as all software development efforts.

Mr. Block joined DYMO through the acquisition of CoStar Corporation in 1998, where he was Vice President of Software Development. Prior to joining CoStar, Mr. Block was President and Founder of AddressMate Software, a software publishing company where he designed and wrote a highly regarded product to simplify the mailing of letters.

With over 30 years in the microcomputer industry, Mr. Block has authored numerous software applications and served as a hardware and software design consultant to some of the most well-known technology companies including Microsoft, Symbol Technologies, Borland and Socket Communications. His broad range of development efforts have ranged from leading-edge notebook computer designs to spread-spectrum wireless network devices, word processors and more. His experience on both the marketing and development sides of technology companies has allowed him to develop a strong, balanced, user-centered approach to product design.

Mr. Block was educated at the University of California at Berkeley, School of Engineering.
