The DYMO® DiscPainter™ CD/DVD printer is a dedicated disc printer, optimized for printing inkjet printable discs quickly with high quality results. Discus from DYMO software is a full-featured disc design software that delivers professional-looking results with ease.
Some inkjet printers offer an option to print directly onto inkjet printable discs using an accessory tray. Hewlett-Packard’s LightScribe technology uses special disc writers (burners) and “etches” the disc using the disc writer’s laser and special LightScribe discs. Discs can be professionally printed or silk-screened by printing companies, which result in good quality, but usually require a minimum batch of same-art discs and are not suitable for small quantity requirement or single discs.
