DYMO's LabelWriter Range Eliminates Label Printing HasslesCONSUMER ELECTRONICS SHOW (CES), LAS VEGAS, 4/18/2001
DYMO®, the world leader in labelmakers for over 40 years, offers the fastest
and easiest way to print labels from a PC or Macintosh with its
market-leading range of LabelWriter® label printers.
Traditional label printing from PCs is such a hassle that many people simply
handwrite - time after time - their labels, but DYMO's LabelWriters
eliminate these quirks.
No more finding special sheets of stock labels to load into a printer when all
you want is one label. No more networked printer accidents that leave your
labels printed on plain paper while a colleague's document gets printed on
your labels. No more jamming of printers as the sheet label wraps itself
round the print roller. While many popular applications have
label-printing functions, they all fall short when it comes to fonts,
formatting and shrink-to-fit capability (ever tried squeezing an
international address on a standard system?). And some applications just
don't offer any labeling options at all.
With print speeds as high as two seconds per label, each DYMO LabelWriter is
50 percent faster than any equivalent label printer on the market, and an
essential computer peripheral for anyone who needs to print either
multiple labels or one at a time. But it s not just speed users get with
DYMO. It's functionality and versatility, too.
Functionality in terms of automatic re-sizing of text for best fit on labels
plus one-click printing in portrait or landscape mode from the toolbars of
popular programs such as Microsoft Word®, Outlook, GoldMine® and Act!".
There's even a built-in database, which saves labels for instant recall!
Not to mention versatility from the LabelWriter's ability to print up to 60
percent bigger labels than available elsewhere, the inclusion of more than
40 label templates, and powerful software that enables users to design
their own labels incorporating graphics, corporate logos and favorite
fonts. Easily shared over a network, the DYMO LabelWriter is the perfect
PC peripheral, meeting any labeling need from mailings and shipments to
workplace organization. Even barcoded labels and visitor or convention
badges are a breeze to produce with a DYMO LabelWriter.
One-at-a-time label printing is a fundamental need for almost everyone in the
workplace, yet it still remains one of the most difficult things for
Windows users to do, says Andrew Newmark, DYMO's Senior Vice President. As
a result, more and more office professionals are connecting a DYMO
LabelWriter to their PC and Macintosh systems for one-off and multiple
label printing, thus eliminating the inconvenience and waste of printing
labels on standard printers using standard label sheets.
