THE O’S HAVE IT: ORGANIZATION OPPOSITES FACE OFF IN CLEAN VS. CLUTTER CHALLENGE

DYMO® Labelmaker Contest Offers $5,000 in Organizational Tools

Oh, to be organized. Whether you are born orderly or bred a slob, when it comes to being organized, some say the “O’s” have it.

“Type O’s” are those who embrace organization with passion and a plan, run their households like well-oiled machines, alphabetically arrange kitchen spices and cook up new file systems at work.

Enter “Type O-No’s!” – “Type O’s” polar opposite. They are the outlaws on the tidy trail. Clutter criminals. They helplessly look-on as their mounds of magazines and stacks of subscriptions turn into mountains of messiness.

What if a “Type O” and a “Type O-No!” should meet? What in the name of labeled lunch boxes would happen?

Search for America’s ORDER-OPPOSITES

To find out, DYMO Personal Labelmaker is launching a nationwide search to uncover America’s ORDER-OPPOSITES.

“People on all ends of the organization spectrum use DYMO Labelmakers, from the organizationally challenged to the champions of organizational harmony,” said Michael Kaplan, Global Marketing Director DYMO Consumer Business. “Wherever you happen to fall, there are a million ways to use a DYMO Labelmaker and the search for ORDER-OPPOSITES will showcase those uses one label at a time.”

Eligible contestants can enter The DYMO Search for ORDER-OPPOSITES contest by submitting a photo online at DYMO.com in either the “Type O” or “Type O-No!” category. Entrants are also asked to submit a short essay detailing their organization station in life, i.e. “why I’m clutter free and fabulous,” or “help, I’m a hoarder without borders.” Winners will be selected by an independent judging source. DYMO is also inviting visitors to the site to view the photos and have fun weighing in on their favorite in each category.

The two grand prize winners each will receive a DYMO and Newell Rubbermaid organization package. The package includes organizational tools and tips that will allow winners to either up the ante on an already organized life or join the ranks and feel the freedom of finally being organized. Both the “Type O” and “Type O-No!” winners, along with nine first place prize winners in each category will be awarded a DYMO Personal Labelmaker and a one year supply of labels.

The contest, which runs July 24 through Oct. 1, 2006 Central Daylight Time, is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and D.C. age 19 and over. Visit www.DYMO.com for complete details.

Contest Launches New DYMO Personal Labelmaker

The Search for ORDER-OPPOSITES contest coincides with the retail launch of the new DYMO Personal Labelmaker. Now with easy, user-friendly features, amateurs and organizational gurus alike will discover a label-a-day can keep the clutter away.

Designed and packaged to be easily understood, engaging and inviting, the Personal Labelmaker reflects current customer demand for sleek, portable devices supporting today’s fast-paced lifestyles. Through a unique “WYSIWYG” functionality (“What You See Is What You Get”), users can see exactly how their labels will look before they print thanks to a bigger graphic display screen and previews of font effects like bold and italic. The color-coded ABC-style keyboard is designed to be an “adult-friendly” tool to help efficiently organize everything from files, photo albums, CDs, tools, shelves and storage containers to children’s toys and clothing. In addition, the Labelmaker labels come in different materials and colors – paper, plastic, iron-on, metallic and new magnetic labels. Because it’s a thermal printer, no ink cartridge is required.

Found in the office supply section in Wal*Mart, Target, and other retailers, and in labeling sections of office supply stores, DYMO Personal Labelmakers are sold at a price of $19.99 and $29.99.
