When you have only one object on your label (i.e. a database field) and
this field contains empty values, then the software will stop printing
labels when it encounters an empty value in this field. All the
(non-empty) subsequent records will not be printed.
Solution:
Add another object to the label and try printing again: all the records
will be printed, even the ones with empty values.
or
Print only the records which have a value in the database field. Please
follow these instructions:
1. From the DYMO Label Software v2.0 menu bar, select Label - Open
Database... The Database dialog will display.
2. Enter in the Select records of which section the following query
statement: FIELDNAME is not "" (where FIELDNAME is the database field
which contains the empty values)
3. Press the Select button. The records which have no value for this
field, will not be selected anymore.
4. Press the Close button.
5. Try printing again.
PROBLEM DETAILS
When clicking New... or Label Setup... in the Label command run-time
error 380 ("Invalid property value") is displayed.
POSSIBLE CAUSE(S)
A. The software tries to display a dialog box in the Courier font.
However, the Courier font is not installed on the PC.
Solution:
Install the courier font on the PC.
For Windows NT only: Windows is set to show only True Type fonts.
Solution:
1. Right-click Start and click Explorer.
Windows Explorer is started.
2. Select the directory containing the installed fonts (e.g.
C:\WINNT\Fonts)
3. Click Options under the View command in the Explorer taskbar.
The
Options dialog box is displayed.
4. Go to the tab page True Type Fonts.
Unselect the option Show only
true type fonts in the programs on my computer.
5. Click OK.
You have entered an extended character in the name or organization
field. For example, if you typed "Muller" as name, the letter "u"
(extended character) of "Muller" will cause the error.
Solution:
Avoid typing extended characters in the name or organization field: e.g.
type "Mueller" or "Muller" instead of "Muller".
A. The labelmaker is not switched on.
Solution:
Switch on
the labelmaker.
B. The labelmaker is not set in PC Link mode (only for DYMO 6000 and
DYMO 9000).
Solution:
- DYMO 6000: plug the PC Link
cartridge correctly into the DYMO 6000 and switch it on.
- DYMO 9000:
set the labelmaker in PC Link mode by pressing the "Set Up" button and
choosing "PC LINK".
C. The serial communication cable is not properly connected.
Solution:
Plug either the 9-pin or the 25-pin connector of the
serial cable into a serial COM port of the PC and plug the other end of
the cable (telephone plug) in the labelmaker.
D. The software is not configured for the correct port.
Solution:
Go to "DYMO Printer Setup" in the software and select the correct COM port
(COM 1, COM 2, ...): i.e. the port to which the labelmaker is physically
connected.
E. Another program is locking the COM port.
Solution:
Close or remove this program, so that the COM port is not locked anymore.
F. Defective COM port (hardware problem).
Solution:
Try
printing via another COM port..
